Guest guest
Hi Dawn Sorry to hear you feel so wretched. I am absolutely no expert but when I have too much HC, I get symptoms similar to what you described, ie head pressure, worsening brain fog and generally feeling awful. Also the fact that you were easily shocked when you saw your son sounds like adrenal problems. Again, I'm no expert but thats what it sounds like based on my own experience. Guest guest
These are my feelings too. It was the extra Armour that probably exacerbated your ailing adrenals and caused you these awful symptoms. You should not try to increase your Armour under the circumstances Dawn, and it might help if you stopped it for a couple of days to give your adrenals time to recover. You do sound as if you need to increase your dose of Cortef. luv - Sheila Hi Dawn Sorry to hear you feel so wretched. Guest guest
That almost makes me too scared to try armour, I do hope you are ok now Dawn, sounds like you must have been pretty scared. Do you feel you need more Armour? Maybe you were ok on your previous dose. Maybe taking it at night isnt quite right for you just yet? Well I have gone up to 3 grains (2nd night last night) and I amsuffering badly.Last night I started with pains in the neck, that nipping nagging painthen once I got to bed and took my Armour dose oh wow, the braintotally died and pressure in my head was aweful. Aches and pains gotworse, I got low blood sugar, stomach pains, nausea. I woke the wholehouse up this morning when my son was in the hallway and I came out ofthe loo half asleep and screamed and trembled with the shock of seeinghim, it just didn't register properly and I panicked, yes, not quiteright at all, in fact I went loony. Think maybe the half grain jump is too much for me? I may have to dropback today to 2 1/2 then try the 2 3/4 grains.I have had problems raising before, but this was the daddy of em all.I think this is adrenal do you? Anyone else have this much troubleraising? How do you tackle it? lotsa luvDawnx
Guest guest
Hi Dawn, So sorry to hear of your set back with the rise in meds. It sounds like because you were left so long without treatment in the past any slight change causes problems for you. I am sure you did the right thing in going back down again in doseage. It seems we have to wait longer for our bodies to adjust and be capeable of only a tiny rise. I am not on Armour but when I first tried the nutri thyroid I felt totaly wierd, spacy , tired headaches, heart pounding ect. Hope things have calmed down a bit now for you. I had friday off work I felt so ill,I think the aftermath of that fall was just catching up with me. Although the inhaler for the bronchial problem realy helps I am getting savage headaches, and thats with only one puff at night!!! Thanks for the Arnica tip for bruising, I swear by Lasonil cream but although I have been buying it for years, it is not available in England any longer and I had to buy it online from Australia!! Keep your chin up, you are very brave to keep bashing away at getting well again. Guest guest
Thanks ladies You are so lovely. Don't be afraid to try armour, its the adrenals that are the problem with me, and impatience I suppose, I should with fatigued adrenals have tried 1/4 then backed off a day then up, and taken baby steps, but I have been like that all along. With the extra hc I was feeling too bold and went for it and it hit me in the face. Sorry if I scared you. At least these things wear down and I am ill but still not as ill as I was before I went on it. I do have the occasional madness kick in tho I have not slept for hours and I have decided to go a trashy blonde colour, sat here with bleach on my hair because I cannot get to the hairdressers. You see, impatience. I should know better at my age and I accept full resposibility for being a twit lol. I know Jesus loves me and wants me to get well, the adversary seems to be working hard too, God is stronger. I shall get there, he is working through people and directly all the time, wonderful people here. lotsa luv Dawnx
