Guest guest
Auto Immune Polyendocrine Syndrome. Have been to see an alternative practitioner, and he says this is what I have! It is a mouthful. But makes great sense to me. It starts off with a family/genetic auto immune disorder. Usualy, candida, or vitiligo, which I have had since i can remember.Just a plain old crappy immune system that is weak. Thus giving way to " hashis " All the mucosal linings become inflamed so candida thrives giving way to gluten intolerance in the gut. " Leaky gut " lets the candida into the bloods, causing it to be acidic.(bicarb helps) T lymphocytes then attack more than one endocrine gland, thyroid, adrenals and then your guaranteed to get diabetes type 1.You also get a fatty liver(even though i cant touch alcohol!) I am treating my immune system with germanium, which is stronger than echinacea. Liver is being treated with milk thistle, and on adrenal support as he said my adrenals are very stressed,(q10) Another supplement he offered was enzymatic pearls, but i said i wanted to try the bicarb method. multiviitam for an instant hit is berocca, cheapest to buy in asda! As a lot of his supplements are expensive Only been a week, but no candida!!!!! No indigestion! No swelling in the morning, and night time " rushes " which kept me awake are now gone. No hives as my liver is detoxing. Can sleep at night from 10pm and still dont get up till 8 or 9, but feel a lot better. Stopped taking thyroxine all together as i have felt really bad since it was prescribed.Want to sort adrenals and immune system first. My immune system is just whacked and started to attack my thyroid, was never a thyroid problem to start. But if i feel i need the armour to top up until its working ok, then i will take it. A really stressful event can trigger this off, every day was a struggle, but when the stress was raised it seemed to escalate to extremes, colds and flu can make the hives worse Found all this out recently that it was in the family. My mum died when I was 2 and we never saw my dad that often. But i decided to track him down and ask some questions. All his sisters had the same symptoms and he was a wreck but he was a drinker, so it was blamed on that. I have a friend who has been on thyroxine since birth, with no symptoms like mine at all. It seems to me, the endo and gps like to put things in boxes " thyroid problems " , and " hashimotos " rather than treating the body as a whole, starting with the one thing that we already have to fix problems if we support it, our immune system He also pointed out with iridiology, in my iris, even though my eyes are dark brown, there was a little black spot which related to the adrenals. Check your eyes and a iridiology chart. Im running with this at the moment and have every faith its working so far. Cheers Kate
