Guest guest
I find that amazing. Iodine as the chelating agent. I wonder what kind of mercury levels you have in your urine normally? My bio dentist said a test before and after the chelator tells a lot about your ability to excrete mercury. G/MI The toxic metals test is taken from the same 24 hr collection of urine that is used for the iodine and bromide loading tests ... The 50mg of iodine taken right before beginning the 24 hr collection is considered the provocation for the toxic metals ...Yep, I'm still in shock!Marlena>> HI Marlena, was the mercury test Dr Flechas gave you a urine test? Guest guest
I think it depends on what your life has been like. Steph Re: Re: toxic metals test results >I find that amazing. Guest guest
In what ways? G/MI I think it depends on what your life has been like. Guest guest
Sorry. This is in reply to your comment 'it depends what our life has been like' in response to chelators used after a baseline urine test to see mercury excretion before and after. G/MI What is this directed toward? Re: Re: toxic metals test results > In what ways? > > G/MI > > > ------------------------------------ > > > > >
Guest guest
If you ate fish, lived near the ocean, had amalgams, etc. Your exposure in general. Steph Re: Re: toxic metals test results > Sorry. Guest guest
Your ALA looks fine. You can go up to 400 mcg of selenium w/o a problem. I find that the selenomethyonine works best for me as it is already in the reduced / methylated form. Steph Re: toxic metals test results Thanks for your reply, Steph. I am taking 235mcg of selenium. Do you think I should double that? Also there are 50mg of R-Lipoic Acid in my Thorne detox multi and 25mg of Alpha Lipoic Acid in the Living Fuel supplement food I am currently taking. Do you think that is enough or should I add extra? I'll look into the Chloroclear too. Thanks, Marlena >> Very interesting. Dr. A, B & F have seen these halides increase in output with iodine. Are you taking Selenium? How about Alpha Lipoic Acid. Both are great for binding to mercury. I took a Metagenics product that really helped me when chelating and we would do the DMPS Challenge tests (Yes I know some of you don't like this but I chose to do it). It was called Chloroclear. I would recommend it.> > Steph

Guest guest
Iodine is not a chelator. Mercury sits on the receptors that pull in iodine when you are toxic in mercury and low in iodine. When you supply iodine in larger amounts it knocks the mercury off the receptors. However, iodine does not bind with the mercury and carry it out. That's what a chelator does. Steph Re: toxic metals test results > >> >> I find that amazing. Guest guest
The problem I have with this product is that it is sold through an MLM and is pretty high priced. There is also no real studies that prove it chelates the toxins. So buyer beware. I have tried it with limited results. Not sure how strong it really is if you are very sick.
