It's important to be on iodine when on armour because the armour depletes

the body of iodine faster. Your metabolic rate is sped up. Dr. Brownstein

uses this combo with hashi's all the time. I am on both but I do not have a

thyroid due to cancer so I cannot speak to the hashi's aspect. My husband

has hashi's but is not on Armour at this point only 50 mgs of Iodoral.

I am on 135mg of armour ...i wish i could lower it becuase i feel

likes its not even getting into my cells AT aLL. Would iodine help?

If I dont' have access to the loading test, can I go by the patch

test and try iodoral pill?

If you armour is not getting into the cells then you need to check your

adrenal status as cortisol is what gets thyroid hormone moving. Iodine

helps your thyroid to function better - along with other glands.

I am new at Iodine. I have had Hashi's x 15 yrs. I started Armour in

Dec 07 and treat my adrenal fatigue with hydrocortisone. Once

optimized I started iodine. I have had some trouble with detox and

strain on my adrenals. When this happens a take a couple days off

from the 50 mg of iodoral. I believe I am need iodine and tested

deficient. I just go slow. I am new at this, have learned a lot

here. I know I was nervous too because you read that it may be bad

for Hashi's when in fact you really are deficient. You just have to

go slow if detox too much.

good luck. You can order the load test over the phone and get a free

consult with Flechas. Should be under the files part of this site I

think. That is what I did.
