Guest guest
Well, looking at these, I am definitely the 'Adrenal' body. I have recently developed lots of fat around my hips and tummy, not a pleasant sight. I am going to start increasing my NAE. Thanks for posting this Lilian. I have put it into the forum LINKS. Also, on the LabGab site too. luv - Sheila http://www.bergdiets.com/Dr-Berg-Healthy-Tips-TDay.htm Click on a body on the left and you will see the shape and symptoms etc. I see one of the symptoms of hypothyroidism is apathy. No wonder the doctors get away with what they do, the more they keep us ill the less likely we are to complain lol. I remember someone (who was hypoT) telling me she thought her husband was poisoning her, but what concerned her more was the fact that she didn't care. Needless to say he wasn't. Guest guest
In addition to the body types and symptoms, if you go to the home page, there is an analysis you can take. My results: Thyroid: 44% Adrenal: 25% Ovary: 25% Liver: 6% I'm sure that numbers might have varied had I been able to select all of the applicable responses, rather than having to decide upon one that was most applicable. Guest guest
What a fascinating site and the body type thing was spot on for me. Thyroid 40% Adrenal 27% Ovary 20% Liver 13% The results of the fatburning and making analysis was depressing though. Optimum fat burning would be 100, mine is MINUS 9 thanks to body inhibiting factors (minus 25) and fat making influences (minus 28). It would explain why I am continuing to pile on the stones in spite of a healthy active lifestyle. I'm suffering a bit at the moment having woken up half a stone heavier over the weekend. As usual it has impacted on my mobility and is making it hard for me to breathe and walk - not that I can let that stop me as I have to cycle everyday just to get about. A half hour cycle ride is now taking me 45 minutes because I feel so weak, and that is no laughing matter in this colder weather. Most mornings I'm having difficulty walking downstairs as the tops of my legs are so stiff, swollen and weak. I'm getting a bruised bum having to slide downstairs on it - Maybe I should get a padded mat to sit on ;o) Weird thing is the same happened to me regularly before treatment but now I am at least in the better position of not being permanently knackered or fogged. It is only my muscles which are playing up! I'm on 150mcg levothyroxine. Would raising the dose help my muscles function again? My GP appointment isn't until January and I am loathe to bring it forward as I otherwise look and feel so well - he wouldn't believe the trouble my upper thigh muscles are giving me! Guest guest
Poor u Tracey When I had stairs I remember doing exactly the same shuffling down, and going up the stairs with my hands helping me up like on all 4s lol. Lucky I moved into a flat eventually but I can see where you would have problems. Be careful on the cycle in this cold weather brrrr and take it easy hon. Have you ever thought of asking the doc if he would add a little bit of T3 to your regime to take the burden off the liver a bit? You might need to take more adrenal support though if you do that. However if you feel you are getting stronger regardless, if it aint broke don't fix it lotsa luv Dawnx
Guest guest
Hi Very interesting site. My questionnaire results were thyroid 73% - liver 7% - ovary 7% and adrenal 14%. B
Guest guest
I know he won't even entertain that thought until the results of the January bloods which, I suspect, are likely to show there is nothing wrong with me. It took 10 years of constant argument to get the T4, but I'll certainly consider it if it has the possibilty of ousting this muscle thing! Funnily enough I find it easier to cycle than walk at the moment. For one I am sitting down on the bike so my legs aren't straining to support my body weight in the same way. I've had a few wobbles this week when suddenly my legs have stopped working whilst cycling, forcing me to glide to a graceful stop. Fortunately my brain is now working fast enough for me to calculate which bush to steer into if necessary! Eh progress!
