Guest guest
Hi Dawn I am sorry to hear this. Can you list all of your medications and the dose you are taking right now. I would telephone your GP or phone NHS Direct and they too will want you to list your medications. NHS Direct no is 0845 4647. You might have taken too much of one of your medications or your medications might be interacting badly with each other. What medications have you increased just recently? I hope you are feeling better soon. Guest guest
Hi Dawn Sorry to hear you arent feeling good, is that your resting pulse at 108? If it is then I feel its too high, the heady thing could be a virus or something similar, do you feel hot? I know all to well that thick head feeling but if youve got confusion with it this doesnt sound good, can you get to speak to a GP about this, dont suffer in silence and put up with it, have you started the T3 yet? It could be that you are over medicated if you have started the T3, sorry I cant be of more help Keep in touch Today I am confused, my head is thick, yesterday I felt flueyI don't have a bug.I needed to eat, I have done that but I am still feeling odd. Guest guest
Hi Dawn Yes I think it would be best to see what your TFT's are before you start the T3 just be on the safe side, you dont really want to take it if you dont need it, it could make you worse and we dont that. I would be a little concerned with your resting pulse, it does seem a little high. Lets see what your bloods show before you do anything else, take care. I cant throw any light on the confusion though Hi Yes that is my resting bp, as you can see, I saw a doc, he was ok,just recommended bloods really. I had the confusion before armour, ithad been gone for all this time and came back last night, and felt oddthis morning. Not too bad now at this moment but things keep changing. I haven't started the T3 yet, I wanted to see what my bloods were likebefore starting the T3. To be honest hon I feel a little lost and the docs can't make mefeel unlost methinks lol.thanks honDawnx

Yes Shiela I haven't changed anything but dropped the armour to 2 1\4 a few days ago due to the palpitations. Dropped hc back to 30 after being on higher less than a week. Still on seroxat, diazepam, olmasarten, did take the diuretic yesterday because of the bp which I had stopped taking, but it didn't used to have that effect. Vit C, Vits B, B12, vit E, Grapeseed extract, q10, vit D, omega 3 fish oil. I was a little like the time I was taken into hospital before I decided to start armour. Cannot understand it. The doc just looked at what I am on from them, have now told them ( well doc on call anyway) I am on hc and armour, will get proper lecture tomorrow about crisises from hc etc again. I am wondering if it is diabetes or something now, or a liver complaint. I really don't know Shiela. Hope the doc is willing to search it out because it is certainly not normal. , yes it is high, but the doc didn't seem at all worried, ah well such is life or death. lotsa luv Dawnx
Guest guest
Hi Dawn I have been pondering your situation of the night before last and wonder about the following possibilities and whether your symptoms could have been due to B12 deficiency. Another thought - I wonder whether you were having a bit of a thyroid storm - just because of the symptoms and what you have mentioned before. This can happen in both hyperthyroidism and in hypothyroidism when you have taken too much thyroid hormone replacement. A thyroid storm occurs when your thyroid gland suddenly releases large amount of thyroid hormone in a small period of time. The symptoms you said you were experiencing were: confused, head is thick, I needed to eat Mood swings (fragile) funny bp higher systolic than usual, lower diastolic than usual 178/87 heart rate 108 head floating but feels uncomfortable. My back and flanks are painful I feel slightly nauseaus The symptoms of thyroid storm are high temperature (you didn't mention this) high heart rate, high blood pressure, psychosis, delirium and confusion, difficulty in breathing, chest pain, palpitation, diarrhoea, (you didn't mention this) nausea, Profuse sweating, fatigue and weakness. Just my thoughts, and I'm not medically qualified but it might be something you could suggest to your doctor. Did you ever get a diagnosis of hypothyroidism? Luv - Sheila Hi Yes that is my resting bp, as you can see, I saw a doc, he was ok, just recommended bloods really. I didn't have a high temperature though as far as I know, nor the trots, > > > > confused, > > head is thick, > > I needed to eat> Mood swings (fragile)> funny bp higher systolic than usual, lower diastolic than usual 178/87> heart rate 108> > head floating but feels uncomfortable.> My back and flanks are painful> I feel slightly nauseaus> > > > The symptoms of thyroid storm are > > > > high temperature (you didn't mention this) > > high heart rate, check> > high blood pressure, check> > psychosis, delirium and confusion, check> > difficulty in breathing, normal for me lol> > chest pain, not at that time> > palpitation, check> > diarrhoea, (you didn't mention this) nada> > nausea, check> > Profuse sweating, on and off> > fatigue and weakness. more on than off (never been off for years lol)> > > > Just my thoughts, and I'm not medically qualified but it might be something> you could suggest to your doctor. ah, now there I may have a problem after today lol> > > > Did you ever get a diagnosis of hypothyroidism? Oh yes, years and years ago, in fact the Dr even apologised as it was a locum that diagnosed me. How much B12 are you taking Dawn - I take 1000mgs sublingual daily. Do you take your other vit B's in a Vitamin B Complex?
