Guest guest
I hope that I have this figured out - I am not used to posting or to and so my name has not appeared. I have edited, and won't know until I send this if I have fixed the problem. You were asking if I had any relapses while taking the Beta Seron, and I really did not. I would still feel tingly occasionally, my eyesight would still bother me a little once in a while, but for the most part, I have done very well. If I had not taken it, considering the frequency and strength of the exacerbations that I was having at the time, I know that I would have had some serious damage. I have never had another MRI. If I was getting more lesions, I didn't want to know, and it was just another major expense. I have always had a real talent for ignoring things, or coming up with what seem to me to be very logical explanations for my problems, and I had good reasons for the total numbness of my leg (moving in the recent past, and hurting my back so it had to be a pinched nerve or some such thing. One half of my face went numb on another occasion and I had had jaw surgery in the last year, so that explained that. It wasn't until I kept falling off af a small ladder when I was wallpapering, and mentioned it to a friend as kind of a funny thing that I could not figure out, that she took it out of my hands and sent her husband ( a Physician's Assistant) over to take a look at me. He came up with the initial diagnosis there in my living room, and made an appointment for me with a Neurologist. By the time I went to that appointment, I was hardly able to walk, definitely unable to drive, and scared to death. So, after making a very long story out of this, and I apologize for being off subject, I did very well once on the Beta Seron. But this was after four times on Prednisone and after that, even a shot looked good. In fact, I have to say that I owe a lot to Beta Seron and had a hard time giving up that security blanket to try LDN. At the risk of sounding silly, I have to say that I decided to try LDN because I heard about it in an unusual way right after I lost my father on Christmas day last year. I kind of felt that he was sending me a sign, and right or wrong, I believe in those. So far, so good, and I will continue to mention anything that I notice, and any more improvements in my friend.
