Well, I think Chuck had a go at explaining what the problem could be. None of us know very much really without we have your full medical history and perhaps even your family history to find out whether there are others who have a thyroid or autoimmune problem. The symptoms you mention could be hypothyroidism, or they could be low adrenal reserve, the latter especially as you are already taking thyroid hormone replacement. You should go to our website www.tpa-uk.org.uk and click on 'Hypothyroidism' in the Menu, and on the drop down Menu, click on 'Associated Conditions'. Click on each one and see if any of them could be your problem. Any of these will stop your thyroid hormone replacement from being absorbed as it should be, so you are not getting the amount of thyroid hormone replacement that will make you well.

You might need to get properly tested for low adrenal reserve and systemic candidiasis, and also, ask your GP to test to see where your ferritin level (stored iron), B12 and vitamin D are. If you go to the FILES which you will find on the Home Page of this Forum website, scroll down until you see the Adrenal Questionnaire and the Candida Questionnaire, and complete both of them, and see how you score.

The blood results for TFT's look fine, but then, we all know you cannot go by blood tests alone. Why has your doctor not tested your Free T3 and have you ever been tested to see if you have antibodies to your thyroid.
