Guest guest
Hi Folks, I am slightly worried about the above results, I know they are either too high or low; but I do not know the range. Hopefully they are abnormal just due to drug toxicity from thyroxine and if I can get off this rubbish they will improve. I did a search and it said high levels can be due to Pagets disease, which is something to do with bones, or could be digestive probs, or a fatty liver (am about 20 kg overweight!) Will try to stop worrying, meant to be going out to Whitby for the day, better tell hubby to get up lol! LOve Ali
Guest guest
Hi Ali, I have requested a copy of all of my recent blood results and found that I have marginally LOW alk phos (I think this is the same measurement) at 47, The range for mine is 50-110. At the time this was not highlighted, so I guess it's nothing to worry about for me. I don't know what it means, although at the time i had the bloods taken I had stopped thyroid meds as I was feeling toxic but yet had low T3 and T4 and no high heart rate etc. maybe it is associated with T4 toxicosis? Guest guest
to add to my previous post, I did a search on low alk phos and one of the causes can be hypothyroidism. Apparently most will ahve norml, but some get low. Leah x > > Hi Folks, > > I am slightly worried about the above results, I know they are either > too high or low; but I do not know the range. Guest guest
Hi Leah, I think you could be right as at the time I did feel toxic, swollen glands, headaches, palpitations, fatigue, muscle weakness, dizziness etc etc. and I was on 125 mcg t4, then I reduced it myself to 100 mcg and felt slightly worse for a period of a few days (lower back and leg pain and weakness in legs), then I felt slightly better. To be honest it does not surprise me the doc did not metion these results, as I have lost faith in the Gp. and he would probably not know what they meant anyway. Shall wait to see what Dr P says, try to find out the range & continue doing some research.
