I think the mercury scare is overblown especially for deep water fish or fish caught out of a lake with no industrial effluent. There are much tighter mercury restrictions now than in the 70s when this all came out. Don't know of any recent poisoning cases. I'd be more worried about tape worms so I burn my fish. 2. On eating food, I just eat my fill and then stop. I don't pay attention to portions. As you detox from the diet, you'll be able to sense what you need.
