Guest guest
Hi I'm a new user. Diagnosed 1995. Problems since 1987. SPMS.(still hobbling on crutches. Tried baclofen and zanaflex shortly after diagnoses but nothing since. (made me feel crap!) Just a quick potted history for those interested in new members! Took my 5th dose last night(starting on 3mg)Excellent results so far on some days but not much on others.Fatigue went, felt stronger, the wife has definitely noticed changes. Anyway getting to the point........ My understanding is that endorphins get released between 2-4am when you are in your sleep pattern. If you have a bad night and wake up 4- 6 times will they still be released to the same degree? For example if you don't sleep a wink how does your brain know it's time to release them? Ps. I'm in the uk. Reading all these posts makes me wonder why you are all talking about seeing neuros....since diagnoses 10years ago I've never seen mine! Maybe you all mean 'euros' in which case I'll never see them either seeing as we opted out of the currency.Ha Ha!
Guest guest
This is where a few trials would go a long way, I find in my case that a good sound sleep during the 2-6 AM time period will inevitably give me a great day the following day. However if I toss and turn and "slumber sleep" as I call it the next day is not so nice. Now is that just because my rest was disturbed? Or because of endorphin failure? Only a research scientist would be able to tell. Now if I were used to sleeping during the day and working at night mayhaps things wouldn't be as critical but for now these are my results. Also I have no use for Nuerologist's either but I do know five Medical Doctors the General Practitioner type,or you local family Dr.that prescribe for their patients.
