Unbelievable! This TSH of 10 thing makes me furious. I think that

before somebody is allowed to write such tosh, they should be forced to

take enough thyroid blocking drugs to make their TSH reach 10, and then

see how they feel about writing these guidelines (if they can of

course - the brain fog should have set in nicely by then!).

Its no wonder the powers that be insist that T4 therapy is the ONLY

treatment that is required. Look at the costs - peanuts compared to

T3 or Armour. 84 x 100mcg tablets only costs the NHS £4.08.

And dont get me started on the " TSH <10 is normal " fiasco !!! Isnt

there a contradiction in there? They suggest that you only consider

treatment if TSH >10, BUT the aim is to reduce TSH to 4.5 or less.

Not that I'm in a cynical mood or anything
