Guest guest
Lugols used to be sold in 5% solutions. Nowadays in Europe it is sold in a 1% or 2% solution. I use a 1% solution and multiply the number of drops that Dr Abraham and Brownstein recommend by 5. I am on 50 mg. That is 8 drops of 5% solution. I can only get 1% and multiply the number of drops by 5 and so take 40 drops per day. You should be able to get it at a chemists. I live in France and this is what I do. Sometimes chemists think that they are not allowed to sell it, but I have a friend who works in Health and Safety Executive who says that it is not a banned substance in UK. So you might have to persevere until you find an understanding chemist. Lugol's is usually made up to order and although some people sell it and it has their name on it there should be no difference between one bottle and another apart from the %. Have looked for UK distributor, but there seems to be different %age solutions and prices and packaging too. Is there anyone who can suggest which %age solution to try, which brand and perhaps where you buy it in the UK?Thank you!Lysa
Guest guest
Hi Lysa: Lugol's 5% is the easiest to deal with as far as measuring the drops, etc. Look under file for Iodine info. In the states we generally use Crow's ..... http://www.iodine-resource.com/lugols-iodine.html http://www.amazon.com/J-Crows-1-oz-Lugols-Solution/dp/B001PN3BUW As far as the Candida, P73 Wild oil of oregano will cure that better than Lugol's but lugol's will certainly help. http://www.iherb.com/North-American-Herb-Spice-Co-Oreganol-P73-Super-Strength-60\ -Softgels/7712?at=0 Cheers, JOT > Wanting to try Lugol's Iodine as a possible treatment for candida.
