Guest guest
Hi Everybody I am absolutely delighted to receive the following message today and thought you would all like to see it. For the TPA-UK website to be considered in such a way is wonderful. Oh, if only the BTA/BTF would take a leaf out of the Stockholm Thyroid Association's Book. Well done to all of you who have helped us get such recognition. I have removed this lady's name and Email address for obvious reasons. Luv - Sheila From: ************************* Sent: 25 November 2008 08:04 sheilaturner@... Subject: Website material Hi! I'm a member of the Stockholm Thyroid Association (http://www.skoldkortelforeningen.se/ - Swedish only) and I think the information on the TPA webpage is the best among the thyroid associations webpages that I've seen and it seems like the best doctors are supporting you. My question is: as we are in the process of buidling our webpage - would you mind if I translated some of it to Swedish, stated TPA as the source and put it on our webpage with maybe a link to the original? Like for example the hypothyroidism symptoms and signs by dr Skinner? Kind regards, **** *********** Invite your mail contacts to join your friends list with Windows Live Spaces. It's easy! Try it! Guest guest
Excellent Sheila. How wonderful to be internationally acclaimed...and how wonderful for 'our' doctors to be recognised too. Slowly, slowly...you are getting there. I wish I could do something to help. x

Isn't it just lovely when something positive like that comes your way out of the blue? So satisfying for you to know all your work is appreciated even beyond the UK. Guest guest
Hi Sheila, Great news, the tide is turning. I hope we can forge close link to this group and others around the world to work together in our common interests, unlike other groups we could mention. Guest guest
It is great news , especially as recently, I have had requests from people in other countries (even Kenya) asking for help in setting up a similar group. I am definitely trying to " forge close links " with this and the other groups and will keep in close touch with them. Luv - Sheila Hi Sheila, Great news, the tide is turning. Guest guest
Wow Sheila Congratulations. This has had to have made your day. This is great for those of us that have doctors that poohoo the websites we go to. I would like to print this out if I may and give it to my doctors and say to them, " get with it, Sweden and the UK are way ahead of you doctors in the US. " Wonderful! Guest guest
Hi Sheila, I just wanted to say that I thought the letter from Sweden was amazing, and so encouraging to know that things are changing all over- and you are a catalyst for this! maybe we should try something at the level of the EU, a concerted effort... ahh I can see it now, the International Federation of Thyroid Rebels...you should get yourself a beret and sunglasses for christmas! best, Wannette Recent Activity 20 New Members 8 New Photos 1 New LinksVisit Your Group Give Back for Good Get inspired by a good cause. Guest guest
WOOOP!! That is great news Shiela, thanks for sharing . Hopefully it will go some way to the enlightenment of the medical practitioners that there is more stuff out there than they know about the thyroid and its treatment. Well done you and all who keep this group going God bless Dawnx

Guest guest
Sheila: What a superb testimony to all your work in getting everyone the information we need. Clearly, the right stuff is there for all English readers. I hope it all translates well into Swedish.
