Did you

remember to stop taking your T3 for 24 hours before you had your blood drawn

Bev, because if you didn't, it is likely your Free t3 level will be sky high

and he will believe you are now going hyperthyroid. If you didn't remember,

tell your GP that the FT3 level peaks after a couple of hours or so and then

gradually tapers down to normal level again and that you do not have any

symptoms.

Hope Dr

P's letter is there, he has been busy with clinics, so you might want to call

him to check he has remembered to write it. I am so pleased to hear you are

doing so well now. It will be wonderful if your GP starts to prescribe these

for you.

luv -

Sheila

Dear Sheila and all,

can anyone help me with my T3 problem.

Awaiting arrival of meds ordered over a month ago. Have only tablets left for

two days only.( A member kindly loaned me ten days supply). Have ordered some

more from another site in the meantime. Been to my doctors, but he will only

consider giving me some meds if Dr P writes to him with his protocol of

treatment (on 75mg of T3 and 50mg hydrocortisone). I've spoken to Dr P and he

is doing so. I had'nt been to my GPs for well over a year. I explained that I

am well and have not had a day off sick from work for 14 months. He was

impressed with this and asked me to have some blood tests which i did this

week. I'm going back on Wednesday for the results. Perhaps dr Ps letter will be

there. It will be interesting to see what happens. I will keep you posted. What

a coincidence the post man just knocked on the door and i now have my T3

hurray!!!

Luv Bev
