Hi Chan - good to hear from you

again. Go with Dr B Chan and take your Armour at night, in fact, you could try

taking ALL your Armour at night as some of us do and have been doing for some

time. There was a study done to show that taking thyroxine at night helped the

patient sleep better and longer and they felt better during the day. Although I

know of no tests to show that taking T3 at night works better, certainly some

endocrinologists are now telling their patients to try this and we decided to

do an experiment on this forum to see what would happen when we took all of our

Armour at night. I believe for most people it works, though there is the

occasional blip as with me. After being on Armour for about 3 weeks at night, I

suddenly started dreaming, but then a couple of nights I had terrible

nightmares. I have no idea why, but it was not pleasant - in fact it was so

frightening I decided to go back to day time dosing which I did for about a

month. I then started dosing at night again (I was taking 3 grains of Armour

and 25mcgs T4 at that time) and everything settled down well, and I am still

taking it at night. However, I have now cut back my daily (or should I say

nightly) dose to 2 grains of Armour and 25 mcgs T4 and I am doing fine. I DO

feel better during the day.

You might try adding a little synthetic T4

as many people taking Armour need it. The T4 and T3 is standardised in Armour

and a size 5 shoe doesn't fit everybody, so some need to add T3, and others

need to add T4. Try the experiment to see if this helps. I am surprised that Dr

B didn't suggest this himself seeing your FT4 is so low - and your T3 should

really be quite a bit higher.

Luv - Sheila

TSH 0.0

FT3 4.2

FT4 8.2

and he suggested taking 2 grains of Armour at night

and 1.5 mid morning because by taking Armour at night it absorbs

better! I think he dosen't want to up my Armour anymore as yet

due to TSH being 0.0. Does

anyone else take there Armour like this and if so how do you feel?

Going to stick with it till I see him again in April but do feel a lot

tireder.

I thought this message had been

posted previously Chan and that I had answered it. Am I dreaming - or is

messing about again and sending out duplicates.
