Hi. I do not have any info on LDN and Parkinsons, but wanted to ask if you had heard of the new surgery they are doing on Parkinsons patients with amazing results? I saw this on the news while in Canada, and unfortunately did not hear the whole thing to know where this surgery was available, but I did hear enough to know that it is an out patient procedure involving drilling a small hole into the brain to " burn " out the Parkinson's symptoms. The results are amazing, and immediate. You are very right in that Parkinson's is slow progressing, and I understand your skepticism. But this surgery might be worth checking into. They made it sound very simple and even more importantly, very successful! Take care! Kim
Guest guest
Hi Kim, When I was in hospital in Queen Square in London earlier this year, there were a couple of people with Parkinson's who had an op similar to what you describe. They had some drilling in the back of the skull and some probes inserted which were then controlled by units mounted on their chests which in turn could be operated by had held remotes. One man, who was in his 70's came in a wheelchair and walked with some help a week later. I'm afraid that's the extent of the info I have but I hope it helps.
