Guest guest
It may be best to contact Genova direct and ask them that question, they are very likely to know the answer and can advice you accordingly--- On Sat, 30/8/08, dandmgoodwin <dandmgoodwin@...> wro Hi all, We have obtained the Genova salivary test kit for adrenal function. Guest guest
Hi - the best people to tell you whether the steroid based inhalers would affect Margaret's 24 hour salivary adrenal test would be Genova Diagnostics. I think that probably the answer would be yes, but if you were to see Dr Peatfield, he would be able to tell from the physical tests he does whether or not she has an adrenal problem or not - it is just that the salivary adrenal profile tells you how much, or how little. in the interest of the group knowledge, please would you let us know what Genova say? Luv - Sheila We have obtained the Genova salivary test kit for adrenal function. The instructions warn that the results could be influenced by steroidbased inhalers. My wife has just had the dosage of a steroid basedinhaler doubled because of a very longstanding cough. We would liketo get the test done prior to consulting Dr Peatfield but wonderwhether it would be meaningful at present because of the inhaler? ..
