Guest guest
Hi All, This post just made me think...I have a 19 year old daughter who has been fainting when she stands up too fast. Her Dr. first recommended using more salt to raise her low blood pressure, when that didn't help they put her thru some tests and said it is vasovacole sympcope(sp) and recommended a beta blocker called attenalol(SP).All I know about this is that my 86 yr. old dad is on this drug. Could DL Phenylaline do the same thing(raise her BP more safely?) Any thoughts from our knowledgeable and caring readers out there? ps. My daughter is about 5'6'' and 110 lbs.(ie skinny) thanks -------Original Message------- From: low dose naltrexone Date: Wednesday, November 03, 2004 17:10:38 low dose naltrexone Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] DL Phenylalanine I used it but my blood pressure is allready at record highs for a person of my age so my Dr. said cut it out! Guest guest
Hi , The DL Phenylaline might help. The salt is not a good idea and a temporary fix at best. Daily exercise would be helpful. Gaining some weight would also be helpful. This can be accomplished without any drugs. Guest guest
Tom, Thanks for the input. She does get exercise. She does pilates and walks a lot!She lives in Chicago w/out a car, so she walks everywhere.I will recommend that she ups her exercise routines.I thought the salt idea was dumb too.She did faint once in the shower and got banged up in the fall. Moms do worry about these things...esp. being 1000 miles away. -------Original Message------- From: low dose naltrexone Date: Thursday, November 04, 2004 10:52:17 low dose naltrexone Subject: Re: [low dose naltrexone] DL Phenylalanine(off topic) Help Hi , The DL Phenylaline might help.
