I am 54 and have had an underactive thyroid for about 20 years. Since having a hysterectomy 3 years ago I have been suffering with a variety of symptoms such as bad headaches, tiredness, and lack of energy in general. I have tried HRT, acupuncture, changing my diet and my doctor is at a loss to know what to do with me! I think going through an abrupt menopause has sent my thyroid and any other hormones into freefall. If anyone has any advice or has had similar experiences, I would love to hear from you.
