Guest guest
Hi Jane afternoon everyone, i just got my test results back, i could use some help in deciphering them please. 8:00 50.6 (12.-33.) Oh boy! Your cortisol should be at it's highest point first thing when you wake, but that is way over the range. 12:00 9.4 (10.-28) This reading should be around the middle of the range - not below it. 4:00 5.3 (6.0-11.8) Again, although your cortisol should be dropping, yours has dropped outside the bottom of the range again. 12:00 2.7 (1.-5.0) ..and at midnight, it should be right at the bottom of the range, so this one is not too bad. DHEA8:00 5.7 (7.0-18.3) When you wake, your DHEA should be low, but not outside the bottom of the range. 12:00 4.2 (4.8-8.2) Again, below the bottom of the range again, it should be starting to build up a bit by this time. 4:00 4.3 (3.5-6.0) Not much change from your mid-day range 12:00 4.4 (2.0-4.0) This reading is fine, you make most of your DHEA at night and so it should be near to the top. As stated, both hormones have a very erratic profile and could account for the reason you are feeling so rough. You need to get advice from a doctor who knows about low adrenal reserve Jane and get started on some form of adrenal replacement. Thyroid hormone replacement (if you are taking it) will not be doing you much good with an adrenal profile like this. Luv - Sheila The Comments: Salivary Cortisol profile 8 am value significantly above reference range; other resuls are either borderline or below reference range. Overal indicates an erratic hormone output.DHEA profile: 8am and noon values below rference range; erratic hormone output.regards jane No virus found in this incoming message.Checked by AVG - http://www.avg.com Version: 8.0.169 / Virus Database: 270.6.19/1665 - Release Date: 10/09/2008 19:
