Was just wanting to bump up my question since I didn't get any

responses. Thanks.

<<SB>> Dr Brownstein recommends supplementing with 1/2 - 3/4 tsp of Celtic Salt (unrefined) per day.> > I also read in a post this week someone saying you don't want to be> doing more than 3-4 salt loads a month.

<<SB>> That is what Dr. Shevin stated in his talk at the iodine conference. If you are doing more then you are pushing the detox too hard and you should back off on the iodine.> > Reading through the posts though it sounds like many of you drink salt> as part of your regime.

<<SB>> I put 1/2 tsp in a coffee mug of warm / hot water and drink it daily.> > So should I just keep using salt in my food and then drink 1/2 tsp if> I think I'm having detox issues?

<<SB>> Yes you use it liberally on food and supplement with it.

When I was undergoing what I thought was a detox or something similar,

when first starting back on the full 50 mg Iodoral a couple months ago,

I got very bloated and miserable. Headaches and joint pain, gained

about 12 pounds, it wasn't pretty. Still isn't. I did a salt loading

thing and used about 1/2 teaspoon salt in a glass of water, and did as

directed on the breastcancerchoices.org site for a salt load. I don't

know if that helped or not, or if that was a hump I just to get over.

Now, I drink water with about 1/8 teaspoon salt twice a day. If I get a

headache I have about 1/2 teaspoon. I use Eden celtic sea salt, it is

unrefined and sort of a beige color. I tried Redmonds and it is nice

for a shaker on the table, but it seems to contain grit and sand that

doesn't dissolve and I don't like it as well.

I also use salt on my food but not liberally. If I measured, I would

probably find that I have about one teaspoon of salt a day. I salt

water for boiling noodles with sea salt too, otherwise don't use very

much in cooking at all, we prefer to season our food at the table.

I had migraines for all of September and part of August. One day I

realized that eating salsa took the migraine away. The next time a

migraine started I tried eating 2-3 stalks of cilantro and it went

away. I find that taking cilantro 2-3 times a week keeps the migraines

away since end of September. Much cheaper and healthier than the

grocery bag of medications the doctors have prescribed for me but

which I am not taking at all since September.

I read somewhere since that cilantro helps the brain to detox heavy

metals. Unfortunately I don't know where that was.

Well, I guess I will cultivate a liking for cilantro! (c8

I don't have migraines but maybe I need the cilantro anyway to help with

metals. I have mercury fillings and won't be having them removed

anytime soon if ever.
