Guest guest
Great news Vicki. It helps to have a Dr in your corner. Thanks for the update. Steph new loading test Well, friends, I've been off line for a few months. Just couldn't keepup with "life". But the news is that while my first loading test lastspring was at 84%, and Dr. Flechas thought I had a NIS defect due to along history with bromide....this recent loading test showed 64 %sufficiency which confirms his NIS theory. He thinks I will need 50 mgIodoral daily for 3 to 4 years. I am still very ill with Chronic Fatigue and Fibromyalgia, but I havefound a holistic osteopath to treat me! He is checking forpossible leaky-gut, possible hypothyroid (using T3 and T4), and alsoother hormones that are lacking. I think he will be checking forsubclinical infections (ie. mycoplasm) and heavy metal toxicities. Hesays he won't give up until I do. (unlike my previous doctor)I am very hopeful that I can get to feeling and functioning better. And I had to share that joy with those of you who truly understand!Joyfully,Vickiin Indiana
Guest guest
It doesn't matter how many corners the doctor is in, if he doesn't know how to treat fms/cfs correctly. Vicki, check out www.fibromyalgiatreatment.com and http://community.lsoft.com/SCRIPTS/WA-LSOFTDONATIONS.EXE?A0=GUAIGROUP You can write to me directly for more info if you would like. Guest guest
Vicki, 2 books that you consider reading and following are Dr. St. Amand to heal the FM and also one by Dr. Cabot to heal the CFS. Dr. Cabot book is in my hand so haven't tried her ideas as yet. It is the Liver Cleansing Diet. Dr. St. Amand has 4 books and a website with 2000 people on it trying his method to reverse FM. Many who heal up drop off the website except with a last note years later on progress made. I was in worst 10% when I saw him the first time. I had 78 lumps. A year later felt somewhat better and had 33 lumps and had healed brainfog, IBS, lost 50# and many pains. Just after that visit was rear ended by drunk driver and made things much worse pain wise as was second time for that in 4 years. I am going back to see him in January and have made steady progress on sleep and pain and energy. Iodine is helpful too and been doing that since January. It really helps me with sleep and cleared breast lumpiness. Pam On Fri, Nov 28, 2008 at 4:27 PM, vsloss1 <vsloss1@...> wrote: > Well, friends, I've been off line for a few months. Guest guest
Thanks, Pam. I actually do have Dr. St.Amand's book, it was the first book I purchased many years ago. I got it out last night so I could reread his protocols. I am pretty sure that msg/aspartame was causing a great deal of my pain. Since cleaning up my diet last winter, the pain situation has greatly improved (unless I eat out.)The iodine, which I started last spring, has helped with muscle weakness and my body temp has come up some. I think I am still hypothyroid, which is why I am thrilled to have found a doctor to treat according to symptoms and lab tests, instead of just lab tests. Thanks for pointing me towards the FM website. I will also look for the book on healing CFS. These are certainly complicated illnesses, aren't they? Let us know how you are doing as you see Dr. St.AMand soon! Joy- Vicki in Indiana > > Well, friends, I've been off line for a few months. Just couldn't keep > > up with " life " . Guest guest
I have healed from couch with IBS,pain and brain fog to mostly functional in 2 years time. Was also rear ended for second time in 4 years part way thru so added pain. I was in worst 10% with 78 lumps and was at 33 lumps a year later. It will be 9 months later this time. I had trouble with aspartame too or rocket fuel. Iodine helps with breast tissue on that but cilantro helps clear it from the brain. I am looking at doing liver cleansing diet by Dr. Cabot which is CFS one. I think clearing the FM makes huge headway on the CFS part. I also have a rife beam ray light that takes pain away. a cheap and effective colon cleanse is bentonite clay. I use a T for 5 evenings each season to get rid of heavy metals and pesticides and so on from food. It is 5-10 for several years of supply.
