Guest guest
DHEA is very important and as you are low, enough supplement might well boost your adrenals on their own, but keep cortef in mind if it does not. If you have no problem in increasing your Armour, it will show you will be OK without cortef. One way to help kill of systemic candidiasis is to take one teaspoon of bicarbonate soda in a glass of warm water every morning for a month and then stop it for a fortnight - and then start again. This is helping a lot of people. It will take a while for you to feel much different with the Armour, and remember that thyroxine (T4) takes up to six weeks to be properly absorbed. Also half a grain is a tiny amount - and no more chocolate brownies!!! You should take your Armour as recommended by your doctor. Don't be surprised if Bart's do not recognise that you have low T3 (or even the significance of what having a low T3 means) - they seem to be very mainstream and these professors are members of BTA - and BTA appear to be boycotting ALL products containing T3. If taking no other supplements, please do take 200 mcgs Selenium and 1000 mgs Vitamin C. These are very important to help with converting the T4 to T3. Your doctor will recommend these for sure. You will be surprised how many things get almost back to normal once your thyroid has been treated correctly. Luv - Sheila My growth hormone looks quite low aswell will it all go back to normal do you think once i m optimised?? He said my hormones are very screwed up due to teh thyroid and candida but they will get better..?? Thanks so much Mandyxxxx ___
Guest guest
Mandy - err on the side of caution when talking to different people about your health and what you need and what you don't need. You have a good doctor, so make up your mind right now to be guided by him and him alone, otherwise, you will start to stress yourself making your adrenals worse and you don't need that. We all have different things to say because we have probably all be reading from different books, so stick with your doctor - he sounds a gudun! You can take your DHEA now if you wish. Luv - Sheila Just spoken to someone who said the DHEA may make my cortisol even lower and cause me to go hypo...I am very stressed at the mo and confused.. I do have confidence in this doctor he was ever so nice. I asked him about cortef and he said no need DHEA will support the adrenals..maybe I needed to take that today with the armour.. Take care mand --- _,___
Guest guest
Hi Mandy, DHEA and cortisol are two different adrenal hormones , this is clearly explained in Dr. P's book. This doc sounds like a very good one. Just see how you get on- you will of course alter your meds if you don't get on. Is he Private or NHS? Send details to Sheila privately once you are a bit further down the line and are sure you are on the right track. Yes take your DHEA as soon as you can with the Armour.
