I would take this with a pinch of salt! Aging depends on many factors as the variation across the globe shows. I did try Pregnenolone for maybe 6 months, but it didn't appear to have any effect. It is a precursor to other hormones, so needs conversion. I suspect it did nothing for me because my temperature was too low and fluctuating so the conversion couldn't take place. I asked Dr P about this and he agreed this had probably been the case at the time. Miriam
Guest guest
Oh that is very interesting Miriam. What kind of temps did you have around that time? Can you remember? Mine are not good at the moment but I am hoping it is another one of my temporary adrenal 'dips' that I have been having quite a few of recently. Thanks. Mo ps that is also interesting what you say about variations across the globe, care to expand on that? > > > > She says our bodies are genetically " to peak sexually early on, > > reproduce and then our bodies start to self-destruct as the aging > > clock accelerates " . ....... > > I would take this with a pinch of salt! I think it is in Dr P's book that he talks about the studies done on the preg cream which showed a decrease in the nukber of wrinkles iknt he subjects using it. Tho apparently the effects reversed on stopping the cream. I admit I have thought about trying it - but felt I should wait until I am properly better with the thyroid! I have to confess (no telling me off people!)I had a botox injection on a frown line for my sisters wedding as being porrly has aged me so much. That really helped things look better - but really I have only started looking better since my thyroid levels have got higher! Guest guest
I expect my temperatures were the same as today as they have been low for at least 20 years (and probably more like 40)! Currently they range between 35.7 C and 36.4 C (96.2 F and 97.5 F). I have just started Serenity natural progesterone cream which will give me some direct benefit even if the cascade conversion effect to other hormones doesn't take place yet. I have just started cortisol too, but it is too early days to see an effect. Miriam > Oh that is very interesting Miriam. > What kind of temps did you have around that time?
