Guest guest
Hi Janet I know little about the adrenal supplements you can buy over the counter in health food stores apart from liquorice (either tincture or root) and Siberian Ginseng. Siberian is apparently the best of the Ginsengs. I know about Dr 's Dynamite Adrenal (which has an excellent reputation as it is quite potent - though expensive) and Nutri Adrenal Extra. If these are not potent enough, then there is Isocort, which is stronger than the others but not as potent as Hydrocortisone. Any of these should be tried first as they may be what your adrenals need and if they don't work for you, only then should you consider HC. You can start taking your Armour again but cut back to the dose you were on before your last increase - whether that was by a quarter or a half grain. If you get the same effect again after you increase your Armour in 3 to 4 weeks, then you seriously need to look into the possibility of systemic candida, low ferritin, low B12, low Vitamin D as being a cause. Luv - Sheila Hi, I've been out to the health food shop to see what they could offer me for adrenals, and have bought a bottle of 'tincture of chickweed complex, which contains astragalus, chickweed and siberian ginseng. Do you think it will help at all, and should I now start to take armour again ? I have totally recovered from the heartbeating prob, thank goodness, it was a bit scary!! Thank you all for your support. love janet
