What else are you taking with the Iodine? What do your thyroid labs look like other than antibodies?

I wouldn't stop the iodine if I were in your shoes. Your body needs it. How much Iodoral are you taking? If just 1 tablet it may be too little. That will start the oxidative process in the cells but not be enough to create iodolipids to put the brakes on the process if it goes on too long. That is what hashi's is, out of control h2o2 process that damages cells that causes the body to create antibodies.

Antibodies doubled on iodoral

I did an iodine loading test and I excreted 60%, so I started on 1 tablet of iodoral daily. I did a blood test about 6 wks after starting and my antibodies have doubled, now 485!! I am also on 135mg armour daily, split in 3 doses. Since I have hashimotos, am I supposed to stop the iodine now??? Or increase it to combat the antibodies??

Hmmmm ok. So, would I take 2 tabs tomorrow morning or is it split up

or something? How do you know when to raise? With 60% excretion I

guess I have some room to move right?

I did a blood test on day 21 of my cycle during an emotional

mess ... i think i need to raise my thyroid. It was 8:30am fasting.

Glucose 5.4 (4-6)

ferritin 65

TSH 0.03 (0.4 -3.8)

FT4 11 (12 - 21)

FT3 5.3 (4-6.8) highest it's been ...

cortisol 420 (170-540)

I am on adaptagens, 1 iodoral, 25mg pregnenelone, 135mg armour

(split) + 10mcg T3 (split)

Yes your thyroid is low. I take all 125 mgs with breakfast. Some split but I do it all at once.

i doubled my intake to 25mg and this morning i woke up, swollen

6lbs!!! breasts, face, everything.I look more hypo than I ever did (I

am only 5'3, so 6lbs is a REALLY noticable difference). Would the

iodine have destroyed my thyroid or ????? I don't understand this

reaction?

It's probably toxins. Do a salt flush as described on the www.breastcancerchoices.org website. Take 2,000 - 3,000 mgs Vit C and get 200-400 mg Magnesium. It won't destroy your cells. That's a myth. 25 mgs is considered a maintenance dose. The body will hold water to buffer toxins your body doesn't get rid of. My guess is that your liver and kidney are backed up as well. Adding lemon to your water will help your liver. There are other products that you can get to help both. Just google.
