Why are there no 150mcg levothyroxine pills?

I'm now on an official dose of 150mcg BUT have to take a 100mcg pill

plus a 50 mcg pill as they don't make 150mcg dose.

How wasteful! Twice the packaging and twice the filler ingredients.

Presumably the drug company makes twice as much money too - or am I

just being cynical?

As a matter of interest, what is the average dose level the majority

of hypoT people are prescribed?
