Guest guest
Unfortunately Doctors Data does not do the testing the same way as Hakala, VRP or Flechas. I don't think you can compare them. But that being said your bromide is relatively high. That would make me suspect of that high excretion number. How long and what dose of iodine are you on? Steph Results from Loading Test I received these today from Hakala Research Total iodine excreted 42.6 mg% Iodine excreted 85.2%Total Bromide excreted 20.7 mgLast December I had just the Iodine Loading Test done, the results were from Doctors DataIodine 31 reference 0.1 - 0.45 % Excretion 24 hour 62%Creatinine 1350 reference 600 - 1900 mg/24 hour
Guest guest
Thanks , I started taking iodine dec of last year, the doctor said to take 12.5 mg but after a week, I upped it to 25 mg and took that until June when he finally mentioned I should be taking some magnesium with it and was horrified I was taking more then 12.5 mg. I wondered what else he hadn't bothered to mention and I think I was thinking clearer found and joined this group. Since about July I have been taking 50 mg and have had no detox symptoms at all but I have had a lot of improvement in things like my hair isn't falling out anymore and my skin isn't so dry but most of all I noticed my teeth are not sensitive anymore after about 30 years of being miserable by those things and more, I feel like I have improved a lot. I did go back on Armour this week after not taking it for 2 years after having 3 grains a day for 20 years with no improvement, I gave up on it because it seemed to give me good blood tests but didn't help with any of my symptoms. Thanks for the help, I really don't understand these tests. > > Unfortunately Doctors Data does not do the testing the same way as Hakala, VRP or Flechas. I don't think you can compare them. Guest guest
I agree. Dr. B says that the 20's are high. It should be lower but what is feasible in this environment - who knows???? Guest guest
I guess I thought 20s weren't too bad, should I take more Iodoral or just continue as I am? I was surprised somewhat that my T3 & T4 hadn't really improved in a year and kind of wonder if my thyroid is even using it or it is just going through me but my symptoms have improved, I guess I expected the Iodoral to do more. Guest guest
I am for pushing the envelope - as is evidenced by my being at 125 mgs. Are you getting vit C and Celtic Salt? I would probably increase to 75 mgs and see what happens. Guest guest
I get the celtic salt but only about 1500 mg of vitamin C, any more gives me extremely loose stools to the point I can't make it to the bathroom and I got tired of that so I lowered it to a level where I am not housebound all the time. I take all the cofactors just not enough C. > > > > > > > > > > Unfortunately Doctors Data does not do the testing the same way as Hakala, VRP or > Flechas. I don't think you can compare them. Guest guest
Try an ester C and see if that helps.
