Guest guest
O.k.... just to complete my input re 'night time' Armour.I did have one day of going hypa, but I soon realised that it was due to the better absorption at night.I have slightly decreased my dose and I feel really quite good.I have been taking my dose sub ling. just before lights out.I wake up ready to get on with my day, whereas before,I was a walking zombie until about 11 am and ,because I don't need to take my Armour then, I can have my breaky and take all my supplements.A much better way to start the day
Guest guest
This is absolutely great news - long may it continue. I am going to see if Dr Peatfield is willing to try the experiment as he takes 5 to 6 grains of Armour. If he tries the experiment himself, he will be able to recommend this to all his patients - and to those who are taking synthetic Levothyroxine. BTW - I love the way you write about going hypa - that's a new one. The usual hyp's on this forum are suffering with either hypO or hypER *grin*. What are you taking for your adrenals, how long have you been on the dose you are taking (if you are taking anything)? Luv - Sheila O.k.... just to complete my input re 'night time' Armour.I did have one day of going hypa, but I soon realised that it was due to the better absorption at night.I have slightly decreased my dose and I feel really quite good.I have been taking my dose sub ling. just before lights out.I wake up ready to get on with my day, whereas before,I was a walking zombie until about 11 am and ,because I don't need to take my Armour then, I can have my breaky and take all my supplements.A much better way to start the day

Guest guest
Hi , I know you asked , but I take ALL my thyroid meds at night >en route to the bed -currently 4gr Armour. However, when I have had episodes of commercially produced T4 and T3 - I have taken them both at night as well. no problem. You may be interested in the link to the Mayo Clinic research on nighttime meds posted in 'armour at night' link. (think is was that one) jennyfreeman > Hi , > > good to hear you are feeling better. Guest guest
Hi All I take all my thyroid meds at night and have done for eight months. I take T4 and T3 and was advised to do this by my endo. It works well for me as I can eat first thing in the morning without having to worry about waiting an hour after my meds before eating. I have also got room to fit my supplements in too. Lizzie

Guest guest
Good Morning, Sheila ~ I am on all T3 to reduce a RT3 problem. I dose throughout the day, as this causes less stress on the adrenals than one large daily dose. However, early in my RT3 treatment I started taking my largest dose (50mcg) at night to tremendous effect. It really improved my morning energy levels. I've read that T3 peaks at midnight and is used overnight in the body's detoxing, so taking a higher dose at night more closely matches the body's natural cycle. take care, ~ -----Original Message-----From: thyroid treatment [mailto:thyroid treatment ]On Behalf Of sheilaturnerSent: Thursday, September 11, 2008 5:49 AMthyroid treatment Subject: Re: Re: 'night time' Armour. That link is extremely reassuring . Thanks for posting it. Do you have anything about taking T3 at night, or have no studies been done yet? Guest guest
Sorry Shelia, haven't seen anything. Only started to see the research on meds at night about a year after did her initial study which may just go to show that the thyroid forums are being read by more than thyroid patients. freeman > > That link is extremely reassuring .
