MsP - if you were charged $17.50 for 3 - 1.5 mg, you should RUN, not

walk, as far away from that pharmacy as you can! I just started LDN

& got mine at Skip's Pharmacy. I paid less than $6 for 30 - 1.5 mg!!

My neuro called & talked to Skip, then faxed the rx. They called me

for payment info (they don't take insurance, but you may still be

able to make a claim to your insurance carrier - I haven't tried

just because this is the cheapest rx I've seen in ages). I had the

meds overnighted to me. Will use mail for refills.

Neuro faxed the rx. Skip's called me for payment info & they were

overnighted to me (my request). I will use mail for refills.

I also use Skip's, he's in Boca Raton Florida.

I have one script for 180 1.5's, which is a 2 month supply.

I get 2 month scripts so I can save on the shipping and make sure I never run out.

I also never considered my insurance company, I figured they'd screw up the compounding and my copay would be more than my direct pay!

If you have a scanner, you can your script and fax it to him, then he'll call for your master/visa card number, mailing addy, etc. Then you mail him your paper script for his files before your first refill.

MsP where are you??

I am in Canada and LDN is more expensive here but my insurance covers

it as the pharmacy uses the Revia tab and crushes it instead of using

the pure powder.

The reason is that the Revia has a DIN # and the powder does not.

Thanks for your replies.

I live in Boston area. Turns out the pharmacist made 3/ 50mg capsules

from powder.

He said the most economical way to produce them would be 100/ 1.5mgs

b/c for increm. of 100's he can use a machine as opposed to hand

making them.

He said he'd call me back as to the cost for 100. And I need to have

my neuro rewrite it and fax him.

I'm thinking now, maybe I should just take the 50mg capsules for the

17.50 that I paid and make it into liquid form. Can't believe how

teeny the 50mg capsules are!

There must be a minimum charge placed on all of his work! I know my compounder has one and that is basically what I pay wether it is 1.5mg caps or 3.0or 4.5mg its all the same price about thirty dollars a month.

But then this is Canada!

Is that $16.00 for 30 4.5 mg LDN pills? I pay $45.00. Of course, that is

because it is the only compounding pharmacy in the area. Where do you get your

In New York, Irmat pharmacy charges under $40 for 30 capsules of 4.5

mg LDN, *and* the pharmacist Victor has been successful at getting

many insurance policies to pay for it. Highly recommended. On the

other hand, Bigelow's Pharmacy, one of the oldest in the city,

raised their prices to over $60.
