and Sue asked:

" Has anyone have any experience with the liquid? "

http://www.low dose naltrexone.org/ says:

" The naltrexone powder should be dissolved in in distilled water

with 1mg per ml, dispensed with a 5ml medicine dropper. If LDN is

used in a liquid form, it is important to keep it refrigerated. "

The Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre in the UK says:

" Liquid preparations of naltrexone have been used but it has been

found that simple aqueous solutions are rapidly inactivated and do

not retain any therapeutic benefit beyond 24 hours. A suspension in

sugar syrup, with appropriate preservatives and antioxidants, will

retain its effectiveness for up to 60 days if kept refrigerated at,

or below, 4 degrees Centigrade. "

I found this reference in http://neuro-

mancer.mgh.harvard.edu/ubb/Forum249/HTML/007271.html:

" The liquid form has a life span of 1 week so I keep it in the

fridge or beside my bed in winter without loss of efficacy. I use

glucose syrup and purified water and it has to be kept in brown

bottle. "

I don't know if this information helps or confuses, but it should

get you started. I would suggest asking your local compounding

pharmacy if they have experience in liquid LDN, and ask some

questions based on this information.

You can find a compounding pharmacy by calling your local pharmacy

and asking the whereabouts of a compounding pharmacy.

Good luck. Bless you for being such a caring husband.

I think you're better off with a good compounder than making potentially incorrect nightly doses with ReVia. The costs are now about the same.
