Guest guest
This is like iodine in table salt evaporating. The iodine amount at the store is half what it is at the factory. By the time it's opened in your house, the iodine is half again. Then there is less iodine on the top than the bottom of the container. There was an article about iodine evaporation on the wire services about six months ago. Heat and humidity quicken the evaporation process further with gel caps. Guest guest
Dr Brownstein sells them in his office so they must be OK. The only thing they have found is that the potency tends to lessen with time because they are gel caps and it " evaporates " . Guest guest
I see no reason why a bottle of iodine gel caps would lose potency if kept closed when not in use. Jcrows says lugols has a shelf life of 10 yrs. I notice the gel caps have magnesium stearate. This additive is not only a toxin by itself, but it also interferes and reduces absorption of the supplement by the body.
