Hi GillyDo you get out in the sun very much to maintain your vit D3 level?I know it's controversial, but the vit D3 level can be very important to your well-being, either too high, according to the Marshall protocol or too low if you live in northern (or southern)lattitudes without UV-B active winter sunshine.best wishesBob> I have had a follow up with the endocrinologist, my free T4 and Tsh > with in normal range, just yet T3 still high. Dear Dawn

Sorry for the delay. 2 out of 3 computers down in household and husband need one to work!

since they upt my thyroxine 9 days ago, i have felt slight race in heart, she said i may! the air temp has dropped a little and humidity is not so bad at the moment. I don't notice being too hot or cold at the moment! I am though tired , trouble is virus going around, so it is difficult to gauge if i have weakness and tiredness through T3/highter dose or virus (had trace blood and white cells in urine last week (a common event with me!)

I wil moniter my temp, i know i fluctuate depending on time of month (which also due)

IF not better again my tuesday will visit Dr. ...again!

My Gp could not answer why the endo' ingores the T3.

Can anyonje advise why the endo' (who did training in the UK, ignores the T3 , esp if it is off balance??????

Regards

Gilly

Hi Sheila

I saw my GP and she could not answer why the Endo' ignores the T3. I have slight uti and maybe virus at the moment, am very frustrated!

I had blood taken to test FSH levels (am 45), the only other medication i take next to levothyroxine is Oxybutynin for pressure feelings of wanting to pee!

Last place I lived before moving to the Caribbean was Leicestershire.

I will return to my Gp tuesday, and try once agian. Can someone please explain why the Endo'ignores the T3 and if it stays hight what it can do.

I just want to stop sleeping every day or if i don't sleep in the day I am alseep by 8pm on the sofa!!!

Thank you.

Hope wherever you are in the Uk you are ok, as know flooding and whether is terrible.

Kindest regards

Gilly

Have you ever been tested to see whether you have antibodies to your thyroid Gilly? If not, you need to get this done through your GP. There are many medications - including oestrogen, certain types of birth control pills, and large doses of aspirin that can affect total T3 test results, so tell your endocrinologist if you are taking any such drugs. Is it possible Gilly that you are hypERthyroid - your high T3 may indicate Graves disease, a toxic nodule or thyroiditis. You may need a scan to confirm the cause. Hyperthyroidism increases insulin resistance which would lead to higher glucose readings.

I would question why your doctor as to the reason whe has increased your levothyroxine with such a high level of T3.

Where did you live in the UK before moving to the Caribbean?

Luv - Sheila> > I live in the Caribbean. The endocrine specialist flies in every 2 weeks. I am to see her agin in February. Tomorrw I will see my GP. I have been very weary since saturday when I upt the thyroxine. I will get some answers somehow. I have scoured the net for help and found your site the most useful. Thank you. I only return to the Uk once a year. Not just to see family but for my son who has diabetes type one to have thorough check up, Not due until July!> > Thank you for continued support. Will question why thyroxine up if T3 high. I am new to all this but felt the same, and wondered why she said to ignore it and not re test it!> > Take care> Gilly > >
