Guest guest
Hello everyone, just wanted to see what you think. I know a man, he's 44, suffers from the following conditions: rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, asthma, hayfever, eczema, wheat allergy and food intolerances. He said he did a test at Holland and Barrett which found him to be intolerant of a lot of foods. He is also always tired and from what I can gather he takes a while to recover if he does too much he has to sleep.I am concerned that his health could be adrenal/thyroid related as it sounds all too familiar what he was describing! I have just spoke to Dr P, just asked him what he thought about it. He said it sounds like it could be adrenal related and possibly thyroid related too. I'm not sure how to broach the subject with the man, I don't know him well and only met a short while ago so I don't want to embaress him, on the other hand, he's a lovely man who doesn't deserve to be this ill and I want to help him if I can. Dr P recommended that I suggest to him to get a adrenal stress index test done. He also suggested I tell him about the basal temp test. I noticed that he has thinning of his eyebrows on the outer third which is a tell tale sign. He told me that the arthritis was confirmed by a blood test, when I told Dr P, he said that he sees alot of people with arthiritis caused by low adrenal function. I am guessing he has used alot of forms of steroids with his asthma and eczema and possibly for his arthritis so may have affected adrenal funtion. He also mentioned that there is a family history of asthma etc so GP told him it was genetic and think he's accepted it 'as one of these things'. Has anyone had arthritis caused by adrenal/thyroid here? Arthritis is also an autoimmune disease from what I can gather and could be adrenal related and if you have one autoimmune disease, you're likely to have others from what I've heard. What do you think? Ruth xxxx
