Guest guest
Hi We are an O type group so you won't get many ideas on food but the process is the same. Trial and error - working in changes - keep what works and change what doesn't. I have worked with many on blood type for almost 15 years and from my experience the A type is the least accurate. I'm not sure why but many A's don't do good on soy protein and need some red meat ( & lamb) protein on occasion. The fruits & veges seem to fit pretty well. A couple things to add to you decisions are secretor type and metabolic type. Autism adds its own set of rules. Watching for food sensitivities and reactions. But no matter what, eating clean, real food, unprocessed, natural etc.......................... is what you need to do for your good health. Meat is fine on A diet. Bu eg chicken I better than say beef. Fo m e(an O) a chicken meal does not keep me energetic more than about 20 mins where beef keeps me active for 4 hrs. My friend is the other way round. A bit of chicken is fuel for her for hours. IMO D'Adamo is prejudiced against meat for A's. I suspect he is an A vegetarian - does not mean everyone should be - in fact no human was biologically designed to be vegetarian whatever anyone says. (And I have master's degree in cell physiology of humans). Be sure to avoid all GMO foods * Soy and anything made with soy; * Sugar beets (incl anything sweetened with " sugar " . It is cane sugar only if it says so.) * Canola and anything containing it. * Corn and anything containing it (except popcorn which is okay) Organic foods are an exception - they are not GMO. However do not eat soy even i it is organic - it damages your immune system badly (and other problems). > and hate most veggies. Try to find a green leaf one you like, or can add flavor to, so you enjoy it - the Vit K will keep calcium in your bones. > Made up my mind,i`m no longer eating for pleasure.I`m eating to > feel better.Fish is expensive and organic fruits and veggies.Do you > think people with type A blood are more prone to pink eye? Is your Vitamin D3 low? How much do you take? Good supplement is 50,000 IU capsule of Vit D3, weekly (I do on Sundays) > I do have allergies and asthma Needs ascorbic acid (not ester-C), Vit B6 and LOTS of pantothenic acid. > .Also, how can you get your kids tested? Secretor status can wait - you can usually determine it by food sensitivity history. Namaste, Irene -- Irene de Villiers, B.Sc AASCA MCSSA D.I.Hom/D.Vet.Hom. P.O. Guest guest
Thanks for your response.I could not find anyone talking about blood type A.Sorry.My friend is type O and she is not doing organic foods. She has fibromalygia.I told her that eating GMOs probably isn`t going to help much. She needs to detox also.I know Weston Price says not to eat soy,so I wondered why the author says it is Ok for type A.Asthma is a big issue for me.I have been eating some chicken, though I think it causes some mucus.I do think eating meat makes me gain weight.I hate the type A diet.Trying to stick to it as best I can. Thanks again. > > > Hello:I recently started the type A diet.I have tried it > > befiore, and found that I felt better on it.It is just hard to stick > > to it. > > > I love meat > > My best friend is type A and sticks to what works for her.
