Guest guest
Hi Suz, I too had trouble with Thyroxine, even though I was on a small dose. I was also told that I had kidney problems as well as all those other symptoms you described. I was also told I was depressed and blah blah blah. Well it turned out that I was allergic to thyroxine (dismissed as a virtual impossibility by my then endo),I only found out through tests via my dietitian (!). I changed to Armour and that suited me better however, after a while, I like so many others found out that my adrenals were fatigued too and so I wasn't absorbing the Armour properly and my old symptoms started to return. Where are you at with investigating your adrenal profile ? Have you done the questionnaire in the 'files', that's where I started. Also can you find out if you are intolerant/allergic to the fillers in thyroxine.Perhaps you are one of the people who can't convert the T4 to T3.... have any of these things been investigated yet ?It is very helpful to get as comprehensive profile of your body as possible so you can start 'attending' to each specific area. I know how hard it is to do anything when you feel so exhausted, but it's amazing how a few changes can make a massive difference.Any chance, once you've had some tests done, of seeing Dr P ? kindest regards, julia
Guest guest
Hi - I am interested in what you say about your dietician finding out you were allergic to thyroxine. How did she do this? How did she provide proof of this. I am allergic to thyroxine but also cannot tolerate Armour.
