Iodine is used in thyroid metabolism. The majority of us use Iodoral or Lugol's formulation which is iodine and iodide. If I remember correctly Iosol is only one of these. Different parts of the body use different forms.

Just starting iodine.....what should I expect?

Hi all from a new member..I started taking Iosol about a week ago, and seem to be feeling a little more energy... I'm taking just 3-5 drops a day so far.Is that a common reaction? What do most people feel? Does that mean I was/am deficient in iodine?Thanks!-m

Iosol is actually ammonium iodide and iodine in the same proportions

as Lugol's. However, Lugol's form of iodide is potassium iodide.

Also, Lugol's has greater strength. Iosol is 1.83 mg. per drop and

Lugol's is 6.25 mg. per drop.
