Guest guest
Hello again, , Sorry to ask again...about the adrenals, what is that test called and what does it measure exactly? I mean, what is it it looks for in the adrenals, to know if they are ok or not? Do you have opinions about the best adrenal support products to use? And what do I say INTELLIGENTLY to the doc when I ask for my hormones to be checked? I asked my general physician, my oncologist AND my gynecologist to have it done and they all refused. My gyno actually said that there's no way to actually check hormone levels. When I surprised asked her what she meant - I knew people have their estrogen levels checked all the time, she just annoyedly said that there's no real way to check for real hormone levels! So, what and how should I ask for this done so they can't refuse it? To answer your question - my chemo is for colon cancer. Many thanks, Angel Re: I smell like an onion! Posted by: "ladybugsandbees" ladybugsandbees@... stephanie_a_buist Tue Jul 1, 2008 1:28 pm (PDT) I am backing into the posts and now see this one - so in answer to your question about hormones. Yes you need to have your Estrogen (all of them), progesterone and testosterone levels run. You should also check your adrenal function. With Chemo your adrenals are taking a hit. They are where your hormones are generate (along with the ovaries) so you will probably need some adrenal support. Make sure you are getting the iodine and celtic salt at a minimum. Are you doing chemo for breast cancer? If yes, then you need to hop over to www.breastcancerchoices.org and e-mail Lynne the owner to have her point you to the Amazon group she runs where they can help. Guest guest
You can do this by yourself with a saliva test. You can go here to find the websites to order your own test. I used ZRT and I think it was very good. They also test sex hormones if you do the 4 vial test. www.stopthethyroidmadness.com/adrenal-info Sorry, but your gyno is an idiot. If we can't test hormones, then how do we do fertility tests? How do we know what hormones to give and on what days? Reproductive endocrinologists rely on hormone tests. Her statements are just ridiculous. Even regular, allopathic doctors test for female and male hormones all the time. ----- Original Message ----- And what do I say INTELLIGENTLY to the doc when I ask for my hormones to be checked? Guest guest
The best way to test adrenal is with a 4x Cortisol saliva test. You can order one on your own through www.vrp.com . testing hormones Hello again, , Sorry to ask again...about the adrenals, what is that test called and what does it measure exactly? Guest guest
I use an Alka Blue that does the PH balance but find that nuetral water works better for my body than alkaline which makes it harder to digest. It comes in under sink or on counter. Can get extra filter to take out flouride and arsenic. Have great water except don't want those in it. Really like the taste like a mountain stream. It costs about $800 and have used 2 years now without needing an extra filter. I got counter top one since shares sink with dishwasher and food prep. so can turn it on when wanted. Also some of you with toxins or cancers may want to try Bentonite liquid as a colon cleanse to deal with heavy metal toxins and so on. It is a tasteless liquid from volcanic ash and easy to do. Instructions are easy to find on internet from naturalpath doctors. It is about $8 for a bottle and found locally at Fred Meyers in natural food section bottom shelf. One dose is just a tablespoon so don't buy 3 bottles like I did cause will be around for years!!
