Guest guest
The National Academies Press is a subgroup of National Academy of Sciences This chapter addresses deficiencies and overdoses both...and minimum daily requirements for all stages of life. It is quite comprehensive, and independent of what some have termed 'quacks' or 'agenda driven' etc. It addresses the symptoms and how to deal with them of overdosing, as well as the risks involved in being either deficient or over-sufficient. If you care to browse around further, it also includes research of other nutrients involved in the iodine relationship. There is quite a bit of information specifically about thyroid issues and iodine...in other words...it's quite comprehensive! I think it could be beneficial for those already doing iodine therapy, as well as those who are considering it...and maybe even those who are thinking 'no way'. http://www.nap.edu/openbook.php?record_id=10026 & page=258 Further studies that are recommended as a result of this study also point in the same direction as some of the same as 'breast cancer choices for women' are trying to achieve.
