Why would get shock like symptoms?

Hi

I cut my toe on the weekend, and although it hurt and bled a bit it was

really nothing. However I almost immediately got what I would describe

as shock type symptoms - I felt sick, and very faint and hot all over

and I apparently went very pale. This lasted nearly 10minutes.

The weird thing is I have never been squeamish before I had my 2 year

(which was the start of the recent Thyroid probs), but have had a

couple of other incidents like this since then - the other times were

when I had cut myself with a knife in the kitchen, again nothing too

bad, but a bit of pain and blood...

Adrenals??
