Guest guest
Not really, apart from adding the T3 in small doses and waiting to make sure your body can absorb it and not cause you any adverse reaction. After a couple of weeks on say, 10mcgs (taken in a split dose twice a day) you could add another 5 mcgs (or 10 if you are brave) and again, take this twice a day. You may not need very much to balance the hormones, but if that isn't working, then increase by another 5 mcgs so you are taking 20mcgs daily. Dr Peatfield will take it from there. Are you thinking of gradually stopping your Armour and going straight on to T3 alone Jane? The only problem you might have is cutting the tiny tablets. Don't worry about getting an absolutely equal split, your thyroid does not put out the same amount of hormone throughout the day. You could try crushing the tablet between two teaspoons and dividing the powder that way. Luv - Sheila evening everyone, is there a protocal for adding a little t3 to armour ? i have a phone appt. booked with dr. p. but it is not for 2 weeks. regards jane
Guest guest
hi sheila; as always thanks for the info, dr. p. suggested that i might need to add a little t3 to the mix to feel really well, to be taken as well as the armour, i believe there are a few people on the site who combine both with good results. my energy levels are quite low at the moment (i am having to leave college at lunch time, i am very fortunate in having sympathetic tutors) ;i would like to start building them up and have high hopes for adding in some t3. kind regards jane > > Not really, apart from adding the T3 in small doses and waiting to make sure > your body can absorb it and not cause you any adverse reaction. Guest guest
Hi Jane, I take a very high dose of T3 added to my Armour ( too much Armour gives me joint pain) I find little problem in splitting the tiny tablets- cytomel is easier as US pills are larger than UK ones. I just bite them in half , feeling for the groove with my bottom teeth first. This seems to result in a better split than using a knife which often crushed the tiny tab. ¼ tabs are a bit trickier, but quite easy with practice. I’d take most of the dose first thing in the morning as taking T3 too late in the day gives me insomnia. Guest guest
hi jenny; many thanks for that, do you take the armour at the same time as the t3 ?, i have recently changed back from taking my armour at night, that worked very well for a couple of months but then i found it was waking me up at 3am, so i have switched back to a morning and midday dose. the t3 hasn't arrived yet but i will be organized when it does. i ordered it from www.drugdelivery.ca it was 200 25mg tabs for £50 with a steep delivery charge. kind regards jane > > Hi Jane, > > I take a very high dose of T3 added to my Armour ( too much > Armour gives me joint pain) I find little problem in splitting the tiny > tablets- cytomel is easier as US pills are larger than UK ones.
