Guest guest
MsP, you may or may not experience increased muscle stiffness. Some of us had terrible stiffness on 4.5 mg, but it dissipated on 3. So you might want to begin with 3 mg and see how it goes if you're already very stiff. About 25% of Dr. Bihari's patients--of which I'm one--could not tolerate 4.5, so for them he believes that 3 is the correct dosage. Under 3 mg, however, he does not believe LDN has an effect. And please remember that the main reason to take LDN is to prevent further disease progression. Relief of symptoms doesn't happen for everyone. ________________________________________________________________ Juno Platinum $9.95. Juno SpeedBand $14.95. Guest guest
Delores, I have been on LDN for 35 days. The first two weeks I had difficulty sleeping, muscle stiffness, very vivid dreams. Now the stiffness has subsided, sleeping is fine. thinking is clearer, walking improves daily, I have had bladder control from day one of LDN, I am not sure how long I will continue to improve. I will be happy with whatever. My progression has been a 12 year downhill ride. Steroids helped stop the downhill progression but only put things into a remission state for a short time and symptoms returned worse. Have a wonderful thanksgiving. LDN is giving me hope. ( I hope it will help you also) Best wishes to all! IT HAS ALMOST STOPPED THE TIMES OF MUSCLE BECOMING STIFF AND HOLDING FOR A FEW SECONDS (DON'T KNOW IF ANYONE ELSE HAS THIS) DeLores decrosby@... -----Original Message-----From: saranyasaranye [mailto:saranyasaranye@...] Sent: Thursday, November 25, 2004 9:48 AMlow dose naltrexone Subject: [low dose naltrexone] StiffnessWhat is it that causes increased stiffness with LDN? I already had plenty of that before starting. I thought LDN was supposed to help with spasticity. Let's hope we all enjoy the day and eat wisely. Guest guest
Hi Saranya, I think that everyone is different with MS. The LDn did help me quite a bit with stiffness and spacticity. I am on 4.5mg--maybe that has something to do with it. I have been on LDN for over a year now. Maybe you need to give it time. good Luck Marie [low dose naltrexone] Stiffness What is it that causes increased stiffness with LDN? I already had plenty of that before starting. Guest guest
Hate to be a wet blanket, but could this extra stiffness be what is making you walk better? (not so wobbley)
Guest guest
You know I think you may be on to something. Good Question? Maybe it is how LDN workes?
