I ran out of my lugols solution somewhere around dec 1st, I had no

money to purchase another bottle until today. I wasn't feeling any

different initially without it at first , I even managed to decorate

for christmas on wednesday the 10th . BUT On thursday I was so tired

and fatigued, And I had the most excrutiating hip pain , back leg

pain, upper arm pain too, that was thurs and friday, on saturday the

hips felt a little better but the pain shifted to my lower legs and

ankles. Today , I have really bad pain in my calves (like that vice

grip squeeze) and my feet are really bad, not only when I walk but

even when I am sitting.

Any of the days that I would skip iodine for a day or two I always

had a return of heart palps, I don't have them at all this time.

I am still not on enough armour , my free t4 was still below normal

levels last labs and he only upped me by 1/4 grain. So about 3 weeks

ago I upped it again another 1/4. so I am now taking 2 1/2 grains .

I have been on the lugols solution since july, starting at 2 drops,

and had gradually increased to 8 drops .

So my thought is this: I was very deficient initially, so with

adding the iodine it helped with the heart palps, and it was helping

the thyroid hormones get into the cells better ,so now that I ran out

do you think my throid levels have dropped lower with out the iodine?

Did I mention I don't know what I am talking about and can't get this

question right lol I know what I am trying to ask but I am not

getting the right words.. can anybody figure out what Im trying to

ask here lol because I can't . think Ill ask for a brain transplant

at my next visit.

Since iodine is a building block to thyroid hormones, yes not having lugol's would cause your body to go into a slump with hormone production if you are deficient. You could also have bromide issues. Iodine would push that out. Our bodies are complex and you just need to do what works.
