According to Dr. Shevin, the salt only helps with the bromine not

fluoride.

I don't know why.

Hi ,

Halide detox refers to bromide and fluoride - in chemistry they are

considered toxic halogens. The salt flush is probably the most important

thing you can do for that. Iodine is also a halogen, but your body needs

it. The toxic halogens fill up where iodine should be. When we begin

taking Iodine in significant amounts it knocks the toxic halogens off the

iodine receptors, but we need the chloride (from salt but potassium

chloride also works) to bind with the floating toxic halogens and get

them out of the body before they redistribute (If anyone else can explain

this better or more accurately, please do).

Also I believe the TSH range you are working with is outdated, but I

don't have those numbers on hand (does anyone else?). I believe your TSH

should be lower, as most people feel better when it goes below that. You

may want to experiment with the iodine first to see if it corrects your

hypothyroidism without hormones, but many people choose to get on the

hormones and work with the iodine as a compliment. If you can find a more

holistic doctor he/she might be able to help you with that.

Regarding a heavy metals test, I just did one with Dr Flechas, long

distance. Go into the 'Files' section of this website for more

info.

Marlena

My chemistry is rusty but the reason why the salt works with bromide is because the chloride binds to the bromide. I don't believe that chloride can bind to fluoride and carry it out of the body.
