Guest guest
A question to the group..if tsh is 2.2, FT4 16.9 and but antibodies are slightly raised..range 0 -9 mine came up as 34. Would selenium be enought to get antibodies back in range..or do you think thyroid medication is necessary. I have read a trial of selenium for 6 months brings antibodies right down. Many thanks, Simone
Guest guest
Hi Simone, I can only speak from my own experience. I have supplemented with selenium for about 20 months now and it hasn't brought my auto antibody levels down. Guest guest
Did you not start the Hc again simone like you said you were? Your temps seem ok to me but Im no expert although I have heard taking your temps orrally is more accurate--- On Fri, 26/9/08, sm_telo <sm_telo@...> wrote Lately i have been monitoring my adrenals..as i now have a mercurythermometer. .i place the thermometer under my arm for 10 minutes...thelast 5 days my bmt has been 37...and afternoon temperatureconsistently 37 and evening temp 37. All i have been taking for thelast few weeks is Omega 3 MorEPA. Could this be helping with myadrenals and increasing my temperature. With temperatures like these, would this indicate that my thyroid andadrenals are doing ok?Many thanks,Simone
Guest guest
*** I do not understand how my Ft4 can be sohigh, you would think in theory with a high Ft4 my tsh should be muchlower, could this me a lab mistake?? or are some reading like this. Hi Simone, Just a long shot, as your thyroid problems are very complex and way over my head - but .... have your autoantibodies (both, TgAB and TPO) ever been measured? I know that a positive autoantibody count can cause falsely elevate "T" readings. Perhaps that could explain it ?? Best wishes,
