Guest guest
Usually Armour from America takes about 7 days to arrive so depending when you sent your order, I would be tempted to wait and not complicate things by taking levothyroxine. Being without thyroid hormone replacement for a few days should not cause any serious problems as the T4 has a long half life and there will still be some in your body. Have you looked at the file " How to Use Natural Thyroid extract " that is in our FILES on this forum website. Go to the Home Page, click on Files and then scroll down the list until you find this particular one. This tells you all about Armour and exactly how you should medicate using it. Luv - Sheila Hi all, I have not posted here for ages although I always read the messages. I have run out of Armour and I am waiting for my order to arrive. I have had an email to say that it has been dispatched so hopefully it should be delivered soon. I took my last dose of Armour, 2 grains 5 days ago. Please do you think I should just wait until my order arrives or should I take the Eltroxin which I have and then begin on the Armour when I get it. This group is wonderful and it is due to the information I found here that I was able to convince Endo to test T3 as well as TSH. thanks very much. Guest guest
Hi joan, In case your Armour does not arrive for a few days, I know you would be missing the T3, but taking Eltroxin just to replace the T4 that would have been in the Armour may help you if you can convert at all. Taking enough T4 to completely replace the Armour may cause more problems when your Armour finally arrives. Guest guest
Dear Sheila and , Many thanks for your advice. As I started on Armour because of conversion problems I will not touch the Eltroxin, in fact I should get rid of it! I expect my Armour will be delivered end of next week so not too long to wait. Thank you for this excellent group. Joan
Guest guest
Hi Joan If you want to get rid of it in my direction (need some for my dog) then I would happily swap you something from my vit/min collection? Guest guest
I would be reluctant to get rid of it Joan, if you suddenly find you are without Armour for some reason (and this can happen) at least, you will have some T3 to fall back on.
