Guest guest
Are we still talking about genotype diet here? I got the book from the library and have been reading through it. I am looking at being either a Gatherer or an Explorer. I haven't done the finger print or the PROP test. But when I look through the advanced chart, where you have to know Rh and secretor status (I know I'm O+, but don't know secretor status), it looks like I most certainly have to be a Gatherer. I'm sort of wondering why the strength test option is even given if, based on me being an O+ woman with longer index fingers, Gatherer is my only option if I go by the secretor status chart. The Gatherer profile doesn't seem to fit me but the Explorer does. For example, I've struggled with infertility, am quite thin and for the most part always have been, (all seemingly opposite of Gatherer); I am extremely sensitive to caffeine, have had liver/toxicity processing difficulties (both Explorer hallmarks). I guess I'm just frustrated. But I wonder -- has anyone gotten a different reading from doing the strength test than what the level three, secretor status chart tells you? Or am I just messing myself up by comparing with the Advanced Level calculator, and I should just do the fingerprints and get the PROP test and go with that. Guest guest
Yep a lot of similarities betwixt and between. From: a <paulakins300@...> Subject: Re: GenoType Diet Date: Tuesday, November 24, 2009, 10:50 PM Â Hi , I just finished reading that book as well and was a gatherer. Like you said I found it very simular with a few more items I could eat. Soy milk out, so I will now try rice milk. I'm still comparing the two. I've looked around that website a bit looking for meal ideas. Not much going on there. Lots of posts to read. I'm still new to all this so can't offer much input. Looking forward to what the others think. a > > I just bought Dr. D'Adamo latest tome, The GenoType Diet. I like it. I tested to be the Hunter GT1. It's essentially the same thing as the " O " diet except now soy foods are avoids. Minor modifications include a full gluten-free diet and permission to eat lentils. I found the measurement taking interesting and look forward to switching my soy milk products with coconut products. > > Has there been talk about the GenoType diet on this listserve and what do you all think? > > >
