Guest guest
Sorry Joyce, my doc asked me not to pass on this info. Wish I could. He is still watching my results, which haven't been that great, so he's a little reluctant. Arlene
Guest guest
Hi to all the group members, It is me again, asking that each and every one of you e-mail me with the name of your LDN prescribing doc. I asked for this information approximately a month or so ago and to date have only received a response in my inbox from about a half dozen users. I assure you that I will not use this information for anything other then to forward it on to any interested MS patients that are very anxious to try this therapy and for whatever reason, are having a problem finding a doc to prescribe it. I think that it is a basic right that we all are entitled to after all. I would ask you to include: 1. The doctors name and the type of doc it is (neuro, GP...etc) 2. His/Her phone number 3. Town where the doc practices, including the state. I must thank all those that have sent me information but my list is seriously lacking in contacts for many many states around the country. Is there a reason that most of you have not e-mailed me this information. If so, please let me know what that might be. I think that this list will go far in helping many many people, as I do get quite a few requests for information. I assure you again that this list will not be posted on any websites but simply used for referral purposes much the same way one would refer a good doctor to any of their friends in real life. I guess that my feelings about sharing this wonderful information and doctors that will be helpful is a direct result of my wonderful results, having used it now for over 2 1/2 years. I consider it a miracle in my life so therefore would love for many more to benefit from it. Again, thanks to those that have already sent me contact information and for helping....{{{hugs}}} JoyceF
Guest guest
Joyce, my prescribing doctor has retired. My current doctor is impressed by the effects of LDN but since my prescription isn't due for renewal yet I haven't asked for a new one. Will let you know if/when he writes one. ----- Original Message ----- From: Joyce F. low dose naltrexone Cc: Spotlight_ldn Sent: Saturday, November 20, 2004 9:35 AM Subject: [low dose naltrexone] Hi group.... Guest guest
No one is going to actually post these doctor's names anywhere are they? It's just so if someone asks about a certain town, they can be given a name if we have one? At least that's what I was assuming. If it's going to be posted, please do NOT put the name of my doc up there! thanks, Daphne

Guest guest
Kim, I use a compounding pharmacy in Fort , Kentucky (Northern Kentucky). It is the only one in the area. The name is Custom Prescription at 859-426-5222 and the pharmacist is Anakin. VCL I think this is more or less a common occurence as far as what Arlene is saying about her doc asking her not to advertise that he is prescribing LDN for her. I believe it is happening alot - docs are prescribing it but do not want to get overwhelmed with calls for appointments, meanwhile, the phone consult docs are really racking up. I have to admit that although my first instinct would be to pass my information along, if our doc did agree to prescribe but asked me to keep quiet, I would do what he asked because I would do what I had to do to keep the script for my son. If the doc didn't ask me to keep quiet, I would shout it from the rooftops! This is the exact reason why so many people are having more success in getting LDN from long term family docs. I think when your doc has seen you go through alot of MS meds without success, they are more willing to think outside the box. In my son's case, I think his age and the " gamble " (in their eyes) were just too much to ask them to take a chance on. We use Dr. via phone consult, but I want to get away from that as soon as possible. I don't like anything about it, but it got him LDN, and that is all that really matters. Maybe we should all make a point of asking the docs who prescribe for us if it is okay to refer others to them. They have to be careful, though, which is exactly why we have this whole dilemna. I really appreciate your effort to get an updated list, Joyce. How about calling all the compounding pharmacies across the states and asking for their lists of doctors who prescribe??? I would be glad to help with that chore, or maybe we could divide it up with where we all live??? There aren't too many compounders in Kentucky, but I'll see what I can find out that way. Most have toll free numbers, or you could use one of those dollar per call dial up numbers. Let me know what you think...Is this an idea? Take care, and have a great weekend.
