Hi everyone, I went to the physical therpist today, he pinpointed three

vertrea that are giving me a lot of problem, two of them are inside the

fusion from 1986 -- one was just inside the top, and the other was just

inside the bottom, and the other vertrea is just below the fusion -- which

was expected -- what I am trying to figure out is why I having so much pain

from vertrea that have been fused -- when I have x-rays done, they show that

there is nothing wrong -- what other tests are they able to do that might

show in more detail what is going on with the pain thing?

Thanks for any help,

Hi

Has your doctor suggested an MRI scan, I too have bad nerve pain and lumbar

pain, I have had many xrays, photos, and MRI scans, although it did not show

anything for me it did help put my mind at rest that my bits were in the right

place ;)

Hope you find a result

Hi ,

I know we've written in the distant past but I can't remember what

levels you are fused on. I had my fusion surgery 4 yrs ago at L1 to

S1. In the past year or so I am having a lot of pain above the

fusion - in my lower ribs, mostly posterior. I have heard and read

time and time again that the areas above and below fusions are going

to become problematic and painful. Could this be part of your pain

issue? I find it difficult to pinpoint exact pain levels.... kind of

like an abscessed tooth - they all hurt on that side, etc.. Do you

find this phenomenon to be true for you? It is so frustrating.

Please feel free to write,

A/P Fusion L1 to S1 in Sept '00

I think that can fit comfortably into the 16 and under room. Perhaps I'll

get two racks for that room; we'll see.
